Well it's been a very busy day despite no flying. First there was Crabb family cycling round the airfield. Then lunch. Then trailer moving. Then kite flying = great day for this as there was really strong wind today. Even I managed to get the hang of the stunt kite today, and Liam was fying it on his own too, although predictably, not for very long before the kite and ground were reintroduced. But luckily it seems to be a very robust kite! Then off to the swimming complex for more fun on the water slides. Paul even persuaded me to let Liam try the water slides on his own, which went down a storm with the little fella who appeared at the bottom every time beaming from ear to ear. Liam wanted to know why he couldn't do the 100 ft kamikaze slide too! But I drew the line at that one - mothers hey!
Then in to town for a quick dinner followed by a stop off at the fabulous ice cream parlour on the way home. I swear there must be a hundred different flavours in there. Not sure if I will have time to try them all before the comp ends, but so far the strawberry and chocolate flavours have been gorgeous. Banana chocolate is the next on my list to try, followed closely by black cherry and then the lemon.....awhhh... I am watering at the mouth just thinking about all those yummy flavours...But is a holiday right? so I can have ice cream several times a day without feeling guilty.
Now we are home in the caravan. Little fella is asleep and Paul is at the USA caravan camp fixing their WinPilot issues. I'm updating the blog and then trying to find a new book to read. I finished "Juliet, Naked" by Nick Hornby, this morning, which was just an awesome read, and I loved it. I can highly recommend it to everyone. I love great reads, but it so hard to follow them up with another great read immediately afterwards...hmm.. I'll have to see what I can find. I don't fancy that violent trilogy that Paul's reading. so will see what else is on the bookshelf.
Right... Paul's back and wants the computer, so got to go for a mo...
