Siobhan and Liam arrived on friday evening having been delayed by some baggae handling paranoia at luton airport - the caravan and awning have been suitably organised, Liam is disorganising with a vengance.
We trooped off to the opening ceremony in Szeged town centre - marched with the flag and stood in a steady pitter patter of heavy droplets while a host of dignatories regaled us with humourous anecdotes ( not ). The highlight was someone with a very light very slow flying aerobatic model that he flew above the parade - he was extremely skillful. There was a flypast by 2 SAAB drakens/viggens/waggens, not sure which because they were so high that they got confused with a flock of passing crows - I don't think the neighbouring countries need to be worried about low level aerial attack.
Ania, Hannah and Greg arrived late last night to complete the "bosses" and "Crew" list - unfortunately it coincided with the first powercut at our end of the campsite - it didn't reall matter as it came on an hour or so later.
Looks like we will be rigging and dabbing dry the gliders for the rest of the day.
